Willoughby Associates is the leading vendor of collections management software
for museums around the world.Their clients include a number of museums within
the Smithsonian Institution, The Museum of Modern Art in Chicago, the New York
Historical Society, the LA Museum of Modern Art, the Science Museum in London,
museums at Colleges and Universities, Presidential Libraries and all sorts of
cultural institutions.
Webfarm was engaged to develop their intital online presense during 1995. The
continuing relationship with Willoughby led to development of two products that
provide web access to the Multi MIMSY collections management system that Willoughby
offers. The Instant Internet Interface is a quick way for museums to provide
a web front end to their collections and do so with a great deal of flexibility
in interface and access points. Mobius is another product developed at Webfarm
that unlocks more of the power of Multi MIMSY and is a more full featured web
application. These products are in use in many museums throughout the world
for internal as well as public collections access.
Webfarm has also been providing network infrastructure design and a variety
of network services for Willoughby.
